Natal, Christmas, Navidad: Be happy...only this!

Christmas 2010 is just here. Messages and wishes barely change. The same mess, the same promotions, the peak in sales all over where the date is celebrated. This is good, this is bad. Naturally, I'm against consumerism, especially the predatory one. The type of crazy and limitless consumerism which led the American society into bankruptcy. Well, those are the wounds of capitalism and for no option whatsoever, we move on with that tide. Brazilians go shopping too. But there is a good sign here: most people who crowd the shops today come for the so-called "Class C". This means this group of people is being economically included. Isn't this a good sign? I think so. But despite all the enthusiasm, the sense and the symbology of Christmas should prevail. That's what I wish it happened. Let's think of the real sense of Christmas. And wish for simple things in life. A simple life. Merry Christmas!

Yeap... this is a good sign... I think the most beautiful sign is that those people can also feel they are somehow able to celebrate Christmas as anyone else... That's part of what Christmas is: although all the comsumption that is dictated by the modern society, it is a date to celebrate family, happiness, joy! And people are little by little realizing there is a deep sense on Christmas... If anyhow consumism is getting people to this point, then I think there's a good side on all this!!!
Merry Christmas for U 2!!!

You're right, dear. At this point, it feels good to see more people are having access to certain goods. Merry Christmas.
