Barra do Jacuípe, someone's paradise

Barra do Jacuípe is sort of an unkown place located in Camaçari, Bahia, not so far from Salvador, the state's capital. Jacuípe is a very powerful river and its mouth lies right here, carving a beautiful landscape difficult to be found in many similar places. It is a paradise! There is a village, a small church, some commerce by the road, and a lot of condos. Despite being 'invaded' during the summer by people from all walks of life, it still keeps its pristine charm and beauty. It doesn't host any big resorts in this area where there are many, and it pays a price for not being the place of the rich. We have some problems related to water supply, but nothing that prevents us from feeling we are in paradise. The river, the ocean, the sky, and the stars make us forget all the inconveniences. In Barra do Jacuípe you still see "real" people, other than those plastic ladies and frantic bouncers from all over that abound like crazy bees in the resorts and chic condos all over our coast. It's still a very simple place. It's lovely because it has kept its simplicity. That's my place for a calm, sunny, and sleepy summer. For those who never heard of this place, fly to Salvador, take a van or a bus to Praia do Forte. It's right in the middle of the journey, between Arembepe and Guarajuba. It's someone's paradise. Simple. Sandy. Sunny. A paradise. Enjoy it!

Wow... it really looks like a paradise by the pic you posted! The typical place to take a good rest, think a little about life or just forget about it e enjoy the view... Really nice!

It's a lovely place, dear. But you have to see it for yourself.
