Yes, I know I'm cute!

Lorena is just four years old. She came over to my class at UESB-Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, with her mom, Edna, my student in an intensive course I conducted there this past weekend. I looked at the curly-haired girl and, naturally, asked her name. She promptly said: "Lorena". Then I said, "Do you know you're this lovely cute little thing?". She didn't move a muscle, and then, drawing on the always amazing wisdom only children have, she replied: "Yes, I do". Struck by an answer like that, what else could I say? Nothing, but blow cute Lorena a kiss and ask God to always bless her. Um beijo, pequena Lorena. You made my day!
